There is no use of elastic in the Premaxx Slings and the sides of the sling are very easily adjusted to suit both the size of the baby and parent for maximum comfort. Also the base of the Premaxx Baby-bag is one of the very few slings that I know of, perhaps the only one, that offers the baby a padded supportive mattress to recline on. Personally this is one of the very reasons we love this model as we feel it truly offers the baby more support than other slings, including ring slings etc.... Also many people in our company carried their children, sometimes for nearly 2 years with this model and we (including baby)  loved it. I have not come across any complaints regarding the issue of "chin to chest", on the contrary we get a lot of feedback from people saying how content their babies are in the Baby-Bag. In reality there are issues with many front carriers such as the possibility of hip-displacement and breathing concerns with some very minor statistical risk, which is why we promote slings as the ideal way to carry baby from birth. And maybe even more important, before you are allowed to enter the European market you need to be tested and approved against very tough standards (EN 13209 & General Safety Product) ) and that makes the situation in Europe totally different with the US, where there are, as far as we know, still no clear testing procedures. If you use the Baby-Bag sling to carry your baby, you have your hands free, while your baby is benefiting from being carried close. At which month you can start using the Baby-Bag sling? The Baby-Bag sling can be used directly after birth, because a newborn baby is carried in the foetal position. All neck and backbones are completely supported and for a newborn baby this is the most natural position. Up to which age you can use the Baby-Bag sling? You can carry a child in the Baby-Bag sling up to approx 18 months old. The maximum weight for the Baby-Bag sling is 15 kilos, however at this weight most children are much older.  Can the Baby-Bag sling be used by everyone (small or tall)? The Baby-Bag sling can be used by everyone with a minimum size of 1.50 meter. It is very easy to adjust the Baby-Bag sling. Is the position of a baby in the Baby-Bag sling healthy?  In the Baby-Bag sling a baby is carried in the foetal position, similar to the position in the womb. For adults this position is not so comfortable, so seen through our adult eyes this looks unpleasant, but do not forget that this is the most natural position for a newborn baby. The baby recognizes this position and feels safe and secure. How long can you carry a baby in the Baby-Bag sling? A baby is lying in a natural position and all neck- and backbones are completely supported. Besides this the position is not static: the Baby-Bag sling is made of soft fabric, so the child moves along with the carrier. This means that you can carry a baby in the Baby-Bag sling for several hours without any problem. My baby is almost hidden in the baby-bag, is this acceptable? The baby has to breathe freely. This means that you always must keep eye contact with your child and make sure that the material does not cover the face. Also see the instruction manual; turn the strap with the Premaxx label on your shoulder halfway and you have a better view of your baby. Never carry the Baby under your coat!
